ICPC Opening Ceremony/Keynote Address

All Coal Prep badged participants are invited to join the ICPC participants at their Opening Ceremony/Keynote Address. The Opening Ceremony will introduce the International Organizing Committee (IOC) and a Keynote Address, “The Global Coal Market” presented by Ernie L. Thrasher, a world renowned expert on international coal marketing and trading. This will be followed by presentations on the status of coal preparation in each of the major coal producing countries: Australia (Andrew Swanson); Canada (Ahmed Salama); China (Wang Xianzheng); Germany (Deter Ziaja); Hungary (Ljudmilla Bokanyi); India (Raj Sachdev); Poland (Wieslaw Blaschke); Russia (Yulius Rubinstein); South Africa (Kevin McMillan); Turkey (Gulhan Őzbayoğlu); Ukraine (Oleksandr Yegurnov); United Kingdom (Douglas Jenkinson); United States (Peter Bethell).

This course provides the 4-hour annual retraining requirements for Qualified Impoundment Inspectors (QII). Only individuals who have successfully completed the Initial Impoundment Inspection QualifiedPersons training should attend.
