February 2010

Dear Exhibitor:

Thank you for participating in Coal Prep 2010. This exhibitor manual has been provided to assist in ordering the services you need and help plan your participation at this year’s show.  Please see below for two key changes for this year’s show.

INSTALLATION DEADLINE CHANGE
The 16th International Coal Preparation Congress (ICPC) will be held in the United States for the first time since 1966 and in conjunction with Coal Prep.  We’ll be holding a reception on the show floor on Monday from 5:30pm to 7:30pm in an effort to bring increased international attendance to the show floor.   The ICPC will include over 120 sessions on coal crushing, sizing, beneficiation, dewatering, plan performance, maintenance, safety, sampling and analytical upgrading low rank coals and much more.

This Reception will mean that set up will have to end two hours earlier this year – at 3:00pm Monday instead of 5:00pm.  In an effort to change our move in timing as little as possible, aisle carpet will be put down during the evening hours, after the reception is over, and be ready for our usual show hours on Tuesday.  We’ve also extended our Sunday move in hours to give everyone more time to move in.  Be sure to review our Move-In/General Information Section for full details.

DISPLAY REGULATION CHANGE
Due to increased demand for display space we’ve had to eliminate many cross aisles on our floor plan in order to give everyone the space that they need.  This means that the larger “Island” spaces will now be back to back with our 10’x10’ booths and become “Peninsulas”.  To prevent the smaller 10’x10’ booths from being overshadowed by bigger Peninsulas we are adopting “Cubic Content” display Guidelines.

Exhibitors do not need to make any changes to their displays from last year.   This new regulation simply gives our 10’x10’-10’x30’ exhibitors more display options.  The Rules & Regulations section has a graphic of this new “Cubic Content” regulation, please review it – a picture’s worth a thousand words.

The general contractor’s services are located in the “GES Exposition Services” section. GES services include furniture rentals, carpet, custom booths, material handling, booth cleaning, labor and signs. Place all orders in advance to save money and ensure a timely move in. Orders placed after the deadline will be subject to increased charges and will not be processed until advance orders have been fulfilled. Use the exhibitor checklist following this letter to keep current with important deadline dates.

Onpeak (formerly Travel Technology Group) will assist you in making your hotel reservations and can be reached toll-free or online. Be sure to make your reservations early in order to take advantage of the discounted rates. Refer to the Exhibitor Badges/Hotel & Travel section for all the details.  Please note that all reservations must be made through TTG in order to get the discounted room rate.

Please take a few minutes to read the manual carefully. FIRST TIME EXHIBITORS – see the FAST FACTS pages that follow this letter.  We hope they make the exhibition experience an easier one.

If you have questions, or if I can be of service, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Daniel Rea
